The Latin American Motorcycle Association (otherwise known as LAMA) was founded in 1977 in Chicago, Illinois. U.S. LAMA is an international organization that is recognized as one of the most active, long-distance riding groups in the world.

Founded in 1977, LAMA operated as a single chapter in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood for nearly 20-years. In 1995, the LAMA Miami chapter was founded, and one year later, LAMA grew to become a national association with election of the organization’s first president. LAMA later became an international association in 1999 with chapters in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Cuba and now has chapters in many countries.

In 2016, LAMA Clermont was founded by 15 individuals with a common interest in mind; that interest was Moto-touring, sharing with friends and family, riding together as a group and enjoying sunrises and sunsets.

From its initial 15 founding members, LAMA Clermont now boasts over 40 members and counting, from all walks of life, careers, backgrounds and interests. No matter what you ride, as long as you ride, you are welcomed to join our family. You can be a Full Color Member, an Associate, a spousal member or Youth member, we have a spot for you.
